Welcome to More Than Just a Fundraiser
By combining unexpected elements in creative ways, we’ve developed a system for organizing fundraisers that offer a fun night out raising money for medical nonprofit organizations, while also giving back to deserving physicians. Aside from the fundraising aspect, these events are also part non-profit/physician meet and greet, which benefits patients by fostering connections between physicians and relevant medical nonprofit organizations, as well as industry leaders.
Our first event will be held this summer in Richmond, Virginia focusing on neurology followed by an event in North Carolina focused on oncology. Future events on the roadmap include ophthalmology and psychiatry. If you work any of these fields, as a provider, a non-profit leader, or pharmaceutical rep, let’s talk!
A note from our Executive Director, Kerry Kendall
When I was young, my parents got me a subscription to Penny Power, the children's version of Consumer Reports. Instead of absorbing the practical lessons I was probably meant to, such as buyer beware, I became captivated by marketing and advertising and the concept that the right creative idea could have a large impact. As I grow older, and became more involved in the non-profit world, I channeled that interest into a mission to help others, aiming to make the world a better place by creating win-win situations which is why I founded More Than Just a Fundraiser.
I currently live in Wake Forest with my husband Aaron and our jack russell chihuahua Penny. In my spare time I am an avid boardgamer and amateur filmmaker; having written, directed and/or worked on multiple festival winning short films.
